About the Journalist

From a young age Madison has telling stories and taking photos. She bought her first "real" camera at 13 for a school trip to Washington D.C. It was when Madison saw the movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" that she knew what she wanted to do when she grew up: she wanted to be a photojournalist. 
Photography has been her passion for about 5 years but Madison has just now recently gotten more involved in journalistic writing. 
She just finished a 4 week study abroad in Urbino, Italy where she reported and wrote a magazine feature article on the botanic garden in Urbino. Her text piece won an award from the program.
She hopes that her writing and reporting inspires others to become world travelers.
